The kit AC Adaptor installation (cigarette lighter)

by Jay "HeyYou" Ginsbarg

The Kit

AC Adapter with rubber water resistant cap complete with inline fuse holder, extra wire & crimp terminals.

Tools needed
  • screwdriver
  • crimp tool
  • #12 & #10 socket
  • plastic or rubber tape
  • BLACK tie-wraps

I used “Fusion Tape” instead of electrical tape. Bonds the rubber together and makes it weather resistant.

I used a “loop” of wire and painted one end white (no red paint to mark the “positive”)

I wrapped the black and red wires into their own little harness & left about 6” slack in case I ever need it.

I ran the wire under the tank and as far as I could push it up there and then around the neck cover and clamped with a ty-wrap then wrapped with tape.

Finished.

Time for a smoke!
