All that being said, Crazy Dave, I love your pictures. You have an eye for beauty that we enjoy here in the hood. However, I feel your post a really getting preachy. Yes, this isn't the 1960's, 70's, or 80's. Even a former President was caught with his pants down and yet as a soceity in a whole, we accepted it.
As a father, I can only teach my children right from wrong, protect them while they are in my home, and send them into the world knowing I did my best.
I hope I haven't commited suicide here in the hood, as I feel this is my home away from home.

Peace,
Eddie

I gotta piggy Back this one.........Eddie, I hear ya & agree (except I ain't a business owner)..........
Ya know, as bad and unmoral as this country is, we have as many "holier than thou" that do as much if not worse to non-believers in this country. I grew up in Lynchburg, VA...... I Knew Jerry Falwell and his children personally and for all the good he did, he did as much damage thru his selections & support of members of the Moral Majority (and other dumb things he did)......Kinda Tounge in cheek when the highest ranking female had been maried.....twice.
I know we all have opinions & they are certain to differ, but in MOST cases, the Pound down your throat approach just doesn't work in Buisness, School, Christianity or any other facite of life........Pray for your concerns, give them over for God to take care of, contribute as much as you can when you can and offer your knowledge & beliefs to those when they ask (and you'll know when they are asking). Live your life to be he best example it can be and have FUN doing it (Yes, beleive it or not, God actually want's us to be Happy & to have fun).
Dave, I see absolutly NOTHING wrong w/ your beliefs and opinions, but dude, I really think you need to re-evaluate your delivery........

Trouble is we have given our selves over to too much fun and too little concern. Personally I do not see the fun in dressing a seven year old like a slut, have her make suggestive poses and pass it off as innocent modeling, but hey as long as the majority do I guess it must be ok right?

Personally I don't see the fun of security guards standing aside as a girl is being beaten, nor the fun of a girl being gang raped as onlookers go by, nor the fun of people being run over for the latest Christmas fad.. but then I may be missing something.

I do however see why people do these things and more. and it is largely because of the lack luster live like the world attitude that the lost see in us. I know there are no tears in heaven, but there will be rivers of them at the Bema seat of Christ, and yes I'll be crying my own river right next to you my brother or sister.

No Argument about the acts Dave.....Trust me, had I been near when that girl was being beaten, I would have stepped in........I have intervened in many a situation in my years and I don't think that will ever change.
My point is that (at least in my experiences) teaching and coaching has better outcomes that craming your point. Maybe you dont see it, but that's what you do here.
Again, your preachin to the chior... seeing kids abused & ass holes getting away w/ beating women & such disguists me to no end........Take it up w/ your Congress man, your Police Chief take a direct stand w/ those that can change it...........but don't turn people off here when you can turn them on..........

I get to see alot of what humans are capable of, just like any other public servant on this site. I see Dave's point. I know it's in black and white, but it's obvious he feels disgusted by human nature and what we are capable of.

Now, I'm no saint and not going to pretend to be. I have looked at very inappropriate things on the internet including porn, sites that have dead people or showing murders, picture messages from my phone sent to me by my peers, and the list goes on. When it comes to porn, people (men especially) can easily become addicted. Studies show that the release of hormones in males while looking at porn are more powerful than other stimulants. Is it ok? Does it make it right? The answer is no.

About three weeks ago, I watched a movie called Fireproof. It changed my life. It helped me find God again and since then I've been reading my Bible. Now I'm not perfect and don't want to preach, but finding the Lord again has made everday life simple once again. I am not going to look at inappropriate things freely.

I have decided that the inappropriate things I've looked at are disgusting and I want no part of it. I want to be a better man, a better role model and live an eternity of everlasting life instead of being in Hell. THe things I have looked at, lusted over, thought about, or any of the other things will be judged and not forgotten. Hopefully, God will be merciful. If He isn't in His judgement, then I have deserved the sufferings He will give me.

So people have become a lot more immoral than in previous times. Technology has broadened the things that are accessible to us.

+1. It took two times watching that movie for me to get the point. I realize how bad it makes my fiance feel when I look twice at a girl or say someone's hot in front of her. I've been going to a revival called "The Life Action Revival Summit" in a church in our town. I watched as a young woman, a teacher in our primary school got up and poured out her feelings about her ex husband. He cheated on her just before their son turned a year old, with another teacher in the school sytem. I didn't realize how much of an effect something like that can have on a woman. It's easy to say that you'll never do something like that, but I've messed around on girlfriends I had in high school. It's a constant struggle to do what's "good" in modern times, and we all fall short. I know I'm not perfect, but I've really gotten right with God in the past year, and it's amazing how good I feel just because of that.
Anyone can blast me if they want to, but I'm just thankful I'll only have to answer to one person who's already forgiven me.

As for the modeling kids, that's just disgusting. It's really sad how we more or less objectify women.
